For this project, I had the prompt of creating a piece of storage furniture out of a half sheet of plywood.

While sketching, I realized I wanted to create an entryway storage cabinet.

I used Fusion 360 to create renders to understand the proportions and aesthetic before moving to the final. Then, I moved to Illustrator to map out the piece on a 4x4 sheet to ensure I had the correct grain direction and the right space.

First, I used the table saw to cut my pieces and miter joints.
Then, I laid out the pieces for gluing and strapped it together for drying.
Once the initial four pieces dried, I attach the back piece.

I refined my knob concepts and ultimately realized using an obvious knob would be best due to the nature of the cabinet.

I used a drill and driver to attach the knobs and a driver to attach the door hinges.

The incline is the perfect addition to any entryway with its simple but intriguing design and added storage.
